Ordinance:
On November 3, 2015, City Council adopted Ordinance O2015-13 which established regulations pertaining to Vacation Rentals and Hosted Accommodations.
Application forms and submittal requirements are now available for Hosted Accommodation permits and Transfer of Existing Vacation Rental permits. Applications for Transfer of Existing Vacation Rental permits may be submitted at any time. Transfer applications are only required for existing 2009 Vacation Rental Permit holders planning to sell their property and transfer the permit to a new owner.
The application submittal period for Hosted Accommodation permits will begin on Monday, January 4, 2016 and run through the close of business on Friday, January 29, 2016. Applications submitted before January 4 or after January 29 will not be accepted.
Once the submittal period is closed, Hosted Accommodation applications will be randomly selected and assigned an application number. Beginning with the lowest application number, applications will be evaluated to determine if the requirements of Ordinance O2015-13 have been satisfied.
Up to 60 Hosted Accommodation permits will be issued. Any applications beyond 60 that have otherwise satisfied the requirements of the Ordinance will be placed on a wait-list for future consideration.
