Danville

Ordinance:

The ordinance, which the council approved Tuesday on a 4-1 vote, states that banning short-term rentals — those of fewer than 30 days — would be consistent with the town’s Housing Element and its General Plan. Households found to be illegally renting out space could be penalized by criminal or administrative citation, or by civil suit if necessary.
